DETROIT ~ Former President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump will bring the national spotlight to Michigan this weekend as they campaign for candidates ahead of the Nov. 3 election. Obama is scheduled to rally in Detroit on Saturday alongside Democratic candidates, while Trump is expected to hold a rally in Port Huron on Sunday, underscoring Michigan’s importance in several closely watched statewide races.

For voters, the visits highlight the attention Michigan is drawing as Election Day approaches.
