DETROIT ~ Mary Sheffield praised the work of the Detroit Goodfellows 36th Annual Tribute Breakfast, saying the organization helps ensure children and families in need feel supported during the holiday season. Sheffield said her administration remains focused on expanding opportunities for young people through education, housing and programs designed to strengthen families.
Reflecting on her first year as mayor, Sheffield highlighted investments in youth initiatives, neighborhood development and family support programs. She also encouraged residents to stay engaged in their communities and elections, saying Detroit’s continued growth must reach every neighborhood and every family.
