DETROIT ~ As Michigan voters prepare to hear directly from the candidates seeking the governor’s office, tonight’s debate will provide a closer look at the issues shaping the state’s future. Democratic candidate Jocelyn Benson and Republican candidate John James are expected to outline their positions on the economy, public safety and other issues affecting Michigan residents.
For many voters, the debate is an opportunity to compare the candidates’ leadership styles and plans for the state. WJR will carry the debate, courtesy of WDIV, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., allowing listeners to hear directly from both candidates ahead of Election Day.
