WARREN ~ Michigan’s third-largest city is currently under an eight-month moratorium on new gas stations and car washes to allow time to consider changes to the city’s zoning rules.

The Warren City Council passed the moratorium back in May in a unanimous vote to “better control the proliferation of gas stations and car washes throughout the city,” said City Councilman Jonathan Lafferty in the Detroit News. Warren already has 69 car washes and 25 car washes within its city limits
