MICHIGAN ~ Michigan resident and former U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg recently hinted that he is considering running for president in 2028.
When asked if he was thinking of running for president by Steven Bartlett on the Aug. 3 episode of the “The Diary of a CEO” podcast, Buttigieg said, “I think I’m more inclined than not, but there’s so much we don’t know. There’s so much I don’t even know about what’s going to happen this year, let alone … what we need to know later.”
He has been considered among the top contenders for the Democrats’ 2028 presidential ticket, with other names commonly mentioned being Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ).
