GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, MI ~ The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office revealed new details Monday afternoon about a shocking scene in the home of a family of eight discovered Friday.
Kristopher Karolkiewicz, 47, his wife, Amanda Karolkiewicz, 39, and their six children were discovered dead, all by gunshot wounds, after firefighters responded to a fire at their family home in Grand Haven Township. The deaths of Amanda Karolkiewicz and the children were ruled homicides by police, while Kristopher Karolkiewicz’s death was ruled a suicide. Police named him as the suspect for the homicides, thus determining the case a murder-suicide.
The six children were not named, with four of them the parents’ biological children and the other two adopted. Their ages ranged from 5 to 15 years old.
