TUCSON, AZ ~ A ransom note sent to some media outlets in February has claimed that Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” host Savannah Guthrie, died shortly after being abducted.
CNN and a local Arizona outlet agreed to withhold the content of the note at the request of law enforcement so future communications from the suspected kidnapper could be verified. The elderly mother went missing on Feb. 1 near her home near Tucson.
