City officials, including Mayor Mary Sheffield, are attempting to curb the issue by proposing an 18-and-under curfew starting at 8 p.m. for next month’s 68th annual Ford Fireworks display on June 22. The temporary curfew would expire the next day at 6 a.m.
In for Paul W. Smith on Focus, WJR’s Director of Community Affairs and News Marie Osborne talked with business and civic leaders in the community about their perspectives on the growing issue.
