WASHINGTON D.C. ~ The British monarchy will make a historic visit to the U.S. this week, and a WJR host will be there to witness it!
To commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will pay a multi-day visit to Washington, D.C. from April 27-30. As part of this trip, the king will address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday afternoon, the first time a British monarch has done so since 1991.
Ryan Ermanni, host of WJR’s “‘JR Afternoon,” will be the official guest of Republican Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-5) for the address. Ermanni will not be hosting JR Afternoon on Tuesday, instead calling in to the station throughout the afternoon.
