CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, ITALY ~ Famed U.S. skier and former gold medalist Lindsey Vonn underwent surgery Sunday to treat a leg fracture following a severe crash during a downhill race in the Winter Olympics. Vonn, 41, reportedly had the surgery on her left leg after being airlifted to a nearby hospital, with the crash occurring about a week after she tore her left ACL.
