DETROIT, MICH. ~ Ghislane Maxwell took place in a House Oversight Committee’s deposition Monday morning, as she pleaded the Fifth Amendment less than an hour after the deposition started. The closed-door interview was part of a bipartisan House probe into the review of the late Jeffrey Epstein’s case by the federal government. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence in a Texas prison for her role as an accomplice in Epstein’s network of sexually trafficked and exploited female minors. If United States President Donald Trump grants her clemency, her lawyer said that Maxwell will agree to testify.
