Feb. 1, 2025 ~ Historians will explore myths and the reality of local Native American history through special programming at The Birmingham Museum for America’s 250th anniversary this year. Stories and legends relating to Indigenous people in what is now Oakland County have swirled about in the local communities since the settler period. Birmingham Museum Specialist Caitlin Donnelly joins Michigan Voices.
Deb Dansby, vice president for sales and marketing at Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, joins Michigan Voices to talk about the Farm Bureau Family of Companies’ social mission, which is focused on tackling childhood hunger in Michigan. Through programs such as Farm Bureau Food Clubs, thousands of children and their families throughout the state have received food packages.
