MICHIGAN ~ The deadly winter storm that blew across the country in recent days now has a death toll of 30 people, as of Tuesday morning.
Over 500,000 people are still without power, with Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee particularly affected by the power outages. Travel has been made especially difficult, as thousands of flights are still canceled as of Tuesday morning. New England saw some of the heaviest snowfall from the storm, with some areas seeing over a foot of snow dumped onto them.
Both Northern and Western Michigan have been put under a winter weather advisory on Tuesday by the National Weather Service as three to five inches of snow are projected for the areas, respectively. Southeast Michigan remains under a cold weather advisory until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
