WASHINGTON D.C. ~ Both liberal and conservative justices on the U.S. Supreme Court showed skepticism towards arguments claiming President Donald Trump‘s sweeping tariffs are legal. In a case brought on by small business owners challenging his tariff policies, justices questioned the legality of Trump using emergency powers to enact tariffs, arguing that they are effectively taxes, thus undermining Congressional authority on taxation.
