TRAVERSE CITY, July 28, 2025 ~ 11 people were stabbed at a Walmart in Garfield Township outside of Traverse City on Saturday, July 26. Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea credited officers for arriving within 120 seconds after being updated from the scene.
“Thank heavens for all the citizens that took action themselves,” Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard told “All Talk with Kevin Dietz. “They (law enforcement) got there quickly and took him into custody and began triaging wounded people.”

(CONTINUED) Michael Miller, 34, was one of the many bystanders to help subdue the attacker by pushing him out of the Walmart and corralling him on the ground.
All of the victims are expected to survive. One has already been treated and released while only one is in serious condition.
Bradford James Gille has been arrested and is being charged with attempted murder and terrorism. Gille has had a checkered past, most notably with mutilating dead bodies and substance issues.
