LANSING, Sept. 12, 2024 ~ A new bill in the Michigan Legislature aims to prosecute companies that commit price gouging.
On Wednesday, state Democrats introduced Senate Bills 954–956 and House Bills 5895–5897 to make existing state laws on pricing gouging stronger amid rising inflation on products like groceries. A similar plan was announced by presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
