DETROIT, April 25, 2023 ~ Civic, business, and community leaders gathered Wednesday at Gilly’s Clubhouse in Detroit for a celebration of the momentous efforts behind presenting the NFL Draft in the Motor City.
The event, which was presented by Visit Detroit and the Detroit Sports Commission, featured a live broadcast of 760 WJR’s “SportsWrap with Lomas Brown and Anthony Bellino.”
“There’s no better place to be than Downtown Detroit right now,” Governor Gretchen Whitmer told Lomas and Anthony. “A lot of people have old notions about what Detroit means and what the State of Michigan means … the best way to dispel all that is to bring people (here) and to show them what we’re all about.”

The NFL Draft opens to the public today, Thursday April 25 at noon.
