Gov. Whitmer Refuses to Say if Israel is Committing Genocide in Gaza

LANSING, April 15, 2024 ~ In an interview on NBC Sunday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer refused to say whether she thinks Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.

“I’m not going to weigh in where I know that a lot of these terms are used to inflame and divide us,” Whitmer said. Some politicians and many activists across the country, including those in Michigan’s large Muslim and Arab American population, have accused Israel of committing genocide against the Palestinians during its military onslaught that has killed nearly 34,000 people in the Gaza Strip.
