New Study Shows Decline in Public EV Charging Infrastructure Satisfaction

April 2, 2024 ~ A new study from J.D. Power found that electric vehicle consumer satisfaction with public charging infrastructure continues to erode, particularly with non-Tesla EV owners.

Public charging satisfaction among non-Tesla owners dropped 32 points from last year, making potential buyers wary of purchasing electric vehicles, according to the study results. Kristen Richter, senior manager of EV practice for J.D. Power, told WJR‘s Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds, “More and more, we are seeing consumers concerned about that charging availability. Can they charge at home? Can they charge in public? Can they charge even at work? That along with some range anxiety is top of mind for consumers.
