DETROIT, March 26, 2024 ~ When the Detroit Lions learned about the warrant for former cornerback Cam Sutton, he was working out in the team’s training facility in Allen Park.

That’s according to team President Rod Wood, who told news outlets that Sutton showed up unexpectedly before the team later learned about his charges of domestic battery stemming from an incident on March 7 near Tampa. The Lions spoke with Sutton and encouraged him to turn himself in before he left the facility, Wood said, with the team releasing Sutton the next day.
