Brother of U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee Dies in Shooting, Family Member is Sole Suspect

VIENNA TOWNSHIP, MI, March 20, 2024 ~ Early Tuesday morning, Timothy Kildee, the brother of U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee (MI-8), was shot dead at his home by a suspect who is believed to be his son.

The suspect is currently in the hospital due to injuries he sustained from crashing his car while fleeing the scene, and potentially faces charges of murder, armed robbery, and carjacking, said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton at a Tuesday press conference. Timothy Kildee was allegedly shot by his 27-year-old son, though Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson did not name the suspect since charges have not been levied.
