New Michigan Hospitality and Tourism Alliance Looks to Push For Increased Pure Michigan Funding

Feb. 22, 2024 ~ Hospitality and tourism is responsible for almost 10% of all employment in Michigan. In 2019, 124 million people visited the state, creating $26 billion in tourism revenue. Now, hospitality and tourism groups in Michigan are joining forces to ensure the industry continues to recover from the pandemic and continues healthy growth. Justin Windslow, president and CEO of the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association, joins the show to discuss the alliance.

The Pope Francis Center in Detroit will hold its annual gala on April 11 at Ford Field, and Fr. Timi McCabe, president and CEO of the center, joins the show to talk about the various programs at the center including legal, physical health, and mental health services, along with food and shelter programs designed to move their guests from homelessness to securing and productive lives.
