DETROIT, Jan. 24, 2024 ~ Within the past year, Detroit residential property value increased on average about 23 percent, marking seven straight years of growth for the city.

While property value has experienced a drastic incline, property taxes have only slightly increased. As a result, there has been a remarkable surge of value within the Detroit neighborhoods. The increase in value has impacted Detroit residents positively, including a combined $1.7 billion of added wealth throughout the city’s homeowners this past year.

With the property value surge and added attraction to the city from the victorious Detroit Lions, it’s a great year to be a “Detroiter.”

Mayor Mike Duggan further discusses the growing property value in Detroit, along with the impact from the Detroit Lions and the upcoming NFL Draft being hosted in Detroit on 760 WJR.
