GM Sees Vehicle Sales Increase in 2023, Despite UAW Strike

DETROIT, Jan. 4, 2023 ~ General Motors recorded an increase in 2023 vehicle sales, despite UAW strikes that targeted some of the company’s top manufacturing plants.

The automaker recorded its best sales number since 2019, selling about 2.6 million vehicles in 2023 over the roughly 2.3 million sold in 2022. Fourth-quarter sales did flatten compared to 2022, with the 46-day UAW strike taking place in September and October.
