DETROIT, Dec. 12, 2023 ~ Detroit police arrested a new person of interest Sunday in the ongoing homicide investigation over the killing of local Jewish leader and Democrat political activist Samantha Woll.

Police have not released the identity of the suspect, who was arrested nearly two months after Woll’s body was found outside her Detroit home with fatal stab wounds. The first person of interest was arrested in November but was later released without charges.

Her murder came at a time of heightened concerns of antisemitism and violence against Jewish people amid the ongoing IsraelHamas conflict, though Detroit Police Chief James White gave a statement early into the investigation that there was no evidence that antisemitism was a motive.
