MI Capitol Deploys A.I. Gun Detection to Enforce Gun Ban

LANSING, Nov. 21, 2023 ~ Following the Michigan State Capitol Commission banning firearms at the Capitol Building earlier this year, the state became the first in the nation on Monday to deploy the uses of artificial intelligence to detect guns in its state capitol building.

Tech company ZeroEyes overlayed technology over existing security cameras that work to identify firearms and alert authorities if they are identified. The technology was recently installed in Oxford High School following the 2021 mass shooting that killed four students and injured seven people.
