Michigan House Republicans Introduce Articles of Impeachment Against Dana Nessel

LANSING, Nov. 14, 2023 ~ Eight members of the far-right Michigan House Freedom Caucus filed articles of impeachment against Attorney General Dana Nessel Thursday during the final legislative session of the year, claiming she committed unlawful conduct, corruption, and a breach of her oath of office.

Among the examples of “corruption” listed in the articles was when Nessel charged 16 Republicans accused of trying to implement a fake elector scheme to overturn the 2020 election in favor of former President Donald Trump. The impeachment will likely fail to pass due to the current political tie in the State House and the Democrats‘ majority in the State Senate.
