DETROIT, Oct. 31, 2023 ~ Monday Night Football was good to Detroit.

Coming back from a humbling loss, the Detroit Lions bounced back with force and resilience, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 26-14 for a celebratory Homecoming win.

Filling in for injured David Montgomery, rookie Jahmyr Gibbs played his breakout game. The explosive running back charged hard every quarter, running for a season-high of 152 yards, plus a touchdown. Gibbs also became the first Lions running back to rush for over 100 yards and have at least 30 receiving yards in a game since legend Barry Sanders in 1989.

Jared Goff outshined Jimmy Garoppolo by a mile. Goff completed 26 of 37 passes for 272 yards, leading the team to three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Garoppolo faced constant pressure from the Lions intimidating defense, struggling to execute completions and suffering six sacks, with two being from linebacker Alex Anzalone
