DETROIT, Oct. 19, 2023 ~ Henry Ford Health announced Wednesday that it will join with Ascension Michigan to create a $10.5 billion healthcare in metro Detroit.
Describing it as a “joint venture” and not a merger or acquisition, Henry Ford representatives said Ascension’s metro-Detroit locations will rebrand under Henry Ford’s name and will be in a partnership headquarters in Detroit. It is currently unclear how the 50,000 employees will affected by the new agreement.
