Cabrera’s Bittersweet Final Moments as a Detroit Tiger

DETROIT, Oct. 2, 2023 ~ Miguel Cabrera, the Detroit legend, played his final game at Comerica Park in a bittersweet end to his time on the Detroit Tigers.

Although the slugger served as a designated hitter toward the end of his career, Cabrera came full-circle and spent his final moments at first base in the eighth inning. He took the field alone with a roaring crowd honoring his unforgettable career.  

Cabrera not only left the ball park with a standing ovation, but also with countless career achievements, including a total of 3,174 hits and 511 home runs, leaving him Hall of Fame bound.

(CONTINUED) In a victorious 5-2 win against the Cleveland Guardians and a sold-out crowd at his home stadium, Cabrera commemorated his final MLB moments.

Miguel Cabrera will always be remembered by fans, the Tigers, and the Detroit community. A Detroit legend forever.
