DETROIT, Sept. 27, 2023 ~ The Detroit Economic Club and 760 WJR awarded the 2023 Class of Rising Stars to recognize upcoming leaders in the Detroit community.
During a special broadcast of “JR Morning with Guy Gordon, Lloyd Jackson, and Jamie Edmonds” Wednesday morning, Gordon and Jackson spoke to the 10 honorees about their respective businesses and organizations. All Rising Star nominees are under the age of 40, and are recognized for their work in their industries.
The 2023 honorees are listed below:

- Derek Shinska, Client Executive at Hylant.
- Heidi Boyd, Planned Giving Officer at Michigan Humane Society.

- Megan Robinson, Marketing Team Leader at NBS Commercial Interiors.
- Dan Fayad, Retail Property Management and Community Development Consultant at Fairlane.
- Cezi Siotean, Salesforce Operations Administrator of Medicare Operations and Retention at Health Alliance Plan.
- Steve Carey, Regional Sales Manager of Property and Casualty at Oswald Companies.
- Genna Young, Senior Manager of Community Partnerships at General Motors.
