DETROIT, Sept. 27, 2023 ~ The Detroit Tigers and their loyal fanbase will honor Miguel Cabrera at “Miggy Celebration Weekend” ranging from September 29 to October 1 at Comerica Park.
Widely recognized as “one of the greatest hitters in MLB history,” Cabrera celebrates 14-plus years playing for the Detroit Tigers. In his nineteenth season, Cabrera became the 28th player to join the 500 home run club and has surpassed his career milestone of reaching 3,000 hits. After this weekend, the Detroit icon will end his career as an MLB player and soon be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
From “Friday Night Party in the Park,” to the “¡Gracias, Miggy!“ pre-game ceremony, and nomination for the Roberto Clemente Award, Cabrera’s record-breaking career will be celebrated with festivities throughout the weekend.
