UAW Stike Deadline Approaches as Negotiations Continue

DETROIT, Sept. 13, 2023 ~ As the September 14 negotiation deadline approaches, wage disputes between UAW and the Big Three automakers have yet to be resolved.

The UAW did decrease their ask to a 36% wage increase, though the highest counter-offer has been 14.5% from Stellantis. Should a deal not be reached by the deadline, a strike involving 150,000 auto workers could devastate the auto industry in the United States.

Jamie Butters, executive editor of Automotive News, spoke more about the ongoing UAW negotiations on 760 WJR‘s “All Talk.”
