Michigan Loses Out on $100 Billion Semiconductor Plant After Offering Billions in Incentives

July 27, 2023 ~ Despite offering billions of dollars in incentives, Michigan lost out on a $100 billion semiconductor plant from Micron Technology.

Michigan offered the company $4 billion in direct tax incentives, plus a 50-year tax break for a total of $27.9 billion in financial incentives over time, reported by the Detroit News.
