Damar Hamlin Remains in Critical Condition Following Monday’s Cardiac Arrest

CINCINNATI, January 3, 2022 ~ Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamilin remains in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest during Monday night’s game in Cincinnati.

Upon completing a tackle, Hamlin collapsed on the field, where he remained for around 15 minutes. Paramedics administered CPR while players from both teams surrounded the scene and shielded Hamlin from view.

(CONTINUED) Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals,” said a statement from the team. “His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”

According to the NFL, the Bills and Bengals game will not resume this week, and no future date has been determined as of yet.
