HAITI, December 17, 2021 ~ The remaining 12 missionaries kidnapped over two months ago by an armed Haitian gang have been released, according to the Haitian National Police.

Those released include four members of a west Michigan family, now being reunited with two other family members who were released back on December 5.

The family was part of a group of 17 missionaries who were kidnapped while on their way to a Port-au-Prince orphanage.

Some reports indicate that a ransom was paid, though it is unclear by who, or if the sum matched the originally demanded $1 million per head.

Get the full story here, with the latest from 760 WJR Senior News Analyst Marie Osborne, plus an update on the west Michigan family from Congressman Bill Huizenga, who represents the district in which the family resides.
