This Saturday marks the end of Detroit’s 36th District Court prohibition on evictions of city residents who have fallen behind on their rent amid the corona virus pandemic. Eviction diversion programs have been offered by the state and the city. Applications were made available in mid-July, but processing of claims was expected to take several weeks.
