It’s back to a full week of work today for more than 31-thousand state employees. In a cost-saving measure during the corona virus pandemic, most had been furloughed one day a week from mid-May through the period that ended Saturday. The furloughs won’t be extended this fiscal year. Projections for the new fiscal year, which starts on October first, will determine the short-term future for the state’s work force.
