Voters in four Detroit-area communities are being asked to decide today whether their local businesses should be allowed to sell marijuana.
In Wayne County a proposal on the ballot in Allen Park would allow for a maximum of three stand-alone retail stores and three micro-businesses that would be licensed to grow up to 150 marijuana plants for processing or sale.
In Lincoln Park, a proposal would allow two licensed retail facilities and one licensed business to distribute marijuana.
In Oakland County, Walled Lake voters are being asked to approve the creation of 8 facilities for pot sales.
A proposal on the ballot in Keego Harbor would allow eight retail outlets, four for recreational marijuana and 4 for medical marijuana.
