Weston Newswanger is a 5 year old boy in Pennsylvania.
Weston was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the age of 3. He and his family spent the better part of a year at the Penn State Children’s Hospital. His treatment was successful. Weston has been in remission for 2 years.
It was birthday time recently, and his mother asked Weston what he wanted for his birthday. The boy said, nothing. I don’t need anything.
Mom suggested they make a donation to the hospital, in his name. Weston liked that idea, but he didn’t think about money. Weston said they should donate dinosaurs and Play Doh.
They put out a post asking for donations.
Weston and his family have delivered 1,263 cans of Play Doh, 71 toy super heroes, and 1,249 toy dinosaurs to the children who are at Penn State Children’s Hospital.
