General Motors is starting its next round of white-collar job cuts today.
The automaker had announced in November that it needed to cut its white collar work force by about 8-thousand.
About 2,250 salaried workers then volunteered to take a buyout.
This left just over 57-hundred jobs that had to go.
GM then trimmed about 1,500 contract jobs, reducing the number to about 4-thousand.
It is not yet clear when these workers will be pink-slipped.
GM is scheduled to reports its 4th quarter and full year earnings for 2018 on Wednesday.
