Gov.-elect Gretchen Whitmer has made top appointments of her incoming administration.
JoAnne Huls will be Whitmer’s chief of staff. Huls is an executive at the Sterling Group, a private equity investment firm.
Rachael Eubanks will be the state treasurer. Eubanks is currently a member of the Michigan Public Service Commission.
Chris Kolb is appointed budget director. Kolb is president of the Michigan Environmental Council.
Liza Olsen will be director of the Office of the State Employer, which oversees the state government workforce. Olsen is executive director of the Service Employees International Union local 517.
Zach Pohl will be the head of communications.
