Former Detroit Lions General Manager Matt Millen has undergone a heart transplant.
Millen had the surgery at a hospital in New Jersey.
Millen suffered from a rare and usually fatal heart disorder.
Millen’s family says doctors have told them the surgery was successful.
Millen was admitted to Newark Beth Medical Center in October.
Matt Millen is 60. he had been working as a TV football analyst. Millen was an all-pro NFL and all-American linebacker.
