He Was “Jingles” To Baby Boomer Detroit

Detroit Baby boomer alert: Jingles has died.

Jingles was Jerry Booth. Jingles was on CKLW-TV channel 9 in the late 50’s and early 60’s, one of many children’s shows that drew a big audience from the huge baby boomer kids population of the time.
Jerry Booth, Jingles, interacted with puppets and other characters on the Jingles in Boofland show. It was so popular that Windsor had a Boofland park, and Awrey’s sold a Jingles cake. And they had a loyalty oath song.
Jerry Booth, Jingles, was 82.
