Flint water system manager makes plea deal

Flint water plant

As President Obama was talking to Flint residents about addressing the water problems, a former manager of the Flint water system was making a plea agreement in connection with the city’s water crisis.

Michael Glasgow entered a plea of no contest to willful neglect of duty, a misdemeanor.  A felony charge of misconduct would be dropped, in exchange for Glasgow’s cooperation with the criminal investigation by the state attorney general’s office. He was charged with falsifying evidence by changing water test results. A Flint district judge delayed accepting the plea and set the next court date for August, plenty of time for investigators to use whatever Glasgow can tell them.

Michigan Department of Environmental Quality workers, Michael Prysby and Stephen Busch, face felony charges. Attorney General Schuette has said he expects additional charges.
