President Barack Obama will be in Flint this Wednesday and Governor Rick Snyder has requested a meeting with him. This will be the president’s first visit since the city’s water crisis unfolded. He is expected to meet with Flint mayor Karen Weaver.
On Monday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said “Guess his schedule got a little freed up,” a reference to Synder’s previous statement that his schedule was too full to meet. For his part, Snyder said, “It’s really a question of how we can work together. It’s not to get into the history of all of this.”
