According to authorities, the Detroit alleged serial rapist that was charged in two attacks has also been charged with murder. Eighteen-year-old Darian Winfield was charged with first-degree murder, home invasion first degree, and criminal sexual conduct second degree. He broke into a home in the 5500 block of Radnor Street on January 7th then physically attacked and sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl. The young woman later died from injuries she sustained during the attack. Winfield was previously charged with home invasion with the intent to commit criminal sexual conduct in Detroit and assault with intent to murder in Grosse Pointe. Winfield will be arraigned on Thursday.
