A 59-year-old Brandon Township man is behind bars and is expected to face assault charges after an alleged road rage incident Tuesday. Police say they were called to Sashabaw and Seymour Lake roads at 10:30 in the morning to investigate a report of a man physically assaulting a woman on the shoulder of the road. The woman says she and the man were involved in a road rage in incident and stopped to confront one another. When other motorists stopped and tried to intervene, the man threatened them. He allegedly pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at them. John David Lerke faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon, firearm possession by felon, felonious assault, interfering with a telecommunications device and assault and battery.
