Preliminary information indicates at least 10 people were killed and more than 20 others injured when a gunman opened fire at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College on Thursday, said Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate. Investigators are examining social media postings made by a man, thought to be in his late 20s, who they believe is the suspect, said a source with knowledge of the investigation. Police confirm the shooter—a man in his 20’s—was shot dead in the incident. Officials are now looking at his social media posts to try to gain insight into the motive for this shooting.
