Todd Courser will have a statement a day after a former aide held a press conference giving intimate details about his relationship with fellow lawmaker Cindy Gamrat. His tweet said only that he would have a statement, not whether or not he would resign. Joshua Cline said yesterday that Courser and Gamrat’s excessively personal relationship made things “quite awkward”. Cline said the pair would skip meetings with constituents and spend most of the day alone in their office. He said this behavior led him to resign. Gamrat and Courser combined their offices and had three aids work for them even though their districts of Lapeer and Plainwell are about 130 miles apart.
